Some weddings just feel different, in the best way. This one took place at an Airbnb estate tucked away in Edmonds, overlooking the Puget Sound. Instead of the noise and pace of a big wedding, the day felt calm, intentional, and centered on what mattered most: time with the people they love.

The evening started with cocktails and music drifting through the air, played by Bruce, a guitarist whose quirky personality matched the relaxed vibe perfectly. Guests mingled in the backyard, watching the light shift as the sun dipped lower over the water.

Dinner was an experience in itself. Chef Jason from Premier Chef Services prepared everything on site, creating a meal that brought everyone to the table. There was no timeline to stick to, just stories, laughter, and that feeling you get when everyone is fully present in the moment.

As the sun set, the Puget Sound turned shades of gold and pink. The long table outside became the heart of the celebration, filled with conversation and clinking glasses. No big production, no distractions, just love, good food, and a view that stopped everyone in their tracks.

These are the kinds of weddings I adore photographing. They’re personal, unhurried, and deeply meaningful. If you’re planning a backyard wedding in Edmonds or an intimate celebration overlooking the Puget Sound, I’d love to tell your story.
